LifeSense™ is manufactured and marketed by Oriel Instruments.

LifeSense™ is the ideal instrument for fluorescence lifetime sensing and analysis. It is the only instrument to offer high-resolution, high-sensitivity, rapid measurement time and broad spectral versatility at a low cost.

With recent advances in solid-state lasers, fiber optics, molecular biology and biosensing technology, the use of fluorescence lifetime measurements for analysis is growing rapidly. Until the introduction of LifeSense™, the extremely high cost of fluorescence lifetime instrumentation made it almost impossible for researchers to explore this method. LifeSense™ provides the needed economic solution to this problem.

LifeSense™ is a 70 MHz single-frequency phase fluorometer. Excitation is provided by either a diode laser with available wavelengths in the red and near-infrared, or by light-emitting diodes for excitation at various visible wavelengths down to the blue spectral range.
